Baby Shelby Has Arrived!!!

Our little baby girl Shelby has finally arrived, born on June 15th; 6lbs and 18in long, just a tiny little thing. We are so excited to finally have her here. She is so beautiful! And what a good baby, we love her so much!

More Baby News...

So, my feet and ankles have swollen and I don't think they're going to go down until I have the baby. They look pretty sad and poofy. Here are couple of photos. Hope you think they are as funny as Tyler does.

No Baby Yet...

So, we continue to wait on little Shelby to make the decision of when to come into this world. But I have felt over the past few weeks that we weren't fully prepared for her at home (there were still some loose ends, things we needed to buy, etc...). So this week I made full preparations for her coming into the world. I guess you could say I was nesting.

The car seat is installed, we found a new home for Diesel (he should be going away sometime this week), the cradle is finished, all her clothes have been washed, we found a pediatrician, and the hospital bag has been packed. We now just wait for that oh so right time.

I've been having contractions here and there, but nothing to indicate to me the need to go to the hospital yet. I just hope it doesn't happen at work... (that means it probably will).

I will continue to update you on the progress, or lack there of.

Deck/Concrete Progress

Tyler was able to finally get the concrete pad in our backyard done. Now the next step is the deck over it. It was really hot and it was really nice of everyone who came to help. They were able to do it in about four hours or so, in the nice hot sun.

Baby Progress

So it's been a while since I've posted, but we're just treking along. I have about 6 1/2 weeks left until Shelby is due/born. So I've been working on finishing up her room. I only have one more wall to paint, which should only take me about a day or so, and I made some curtains for her room a couple weeks ago.

The bedding. (Bently thinks the stuffed animals are for him to chew on. This will be interesting when they can't be hidden in a crib or bedroom).

An Interesting View of the Lake

Tyler's Tile Backsplash in the Kitchen

Just recently Tyler did a tile back splash in our kitchen. We found the tiles at home depot for a pretty good price, so we thought it would be fun to make our kitchen look a little different. I think he did an amazing job. My little handyman.

The Deck/Shed in Progress

Tyler rented a little excavator and dug the holes (footings) for where the cement is going for our deck/shed. He was excited to rent a machine and have his truck pull it. He did it on one of the 60 degree days.
